What “for life” means here
Plainly, because this is the part people get burned on.
- It is the life of the product, not yours or ours. As long as Anjal is running, your plan is yours and you are never billed for it again. If we ever shut the product down we will tell you well ahead and help you take your mail with you over IMAP, which you already have.
- You get the plan’s published limits, and they do not shrink. If we raise what a plan includes, you get the raise too.
- Growing past the limits is a monthly add-on, at the same $2 everyone pays. Extra inboxes, extra domains, extra thousands of emails. This is the honest trade: the one-off price covers the plan you bought, not unlimited use of a service that costs us money every month.
- One account, not transferable. It belongs to the account that bought it, and it cannot be resold.
- The Startup plan is not sold this way. 200 inboxes and 150,000 emails a month is a real recurring cost, and pretending otherwise would be how this offer ends up withdrawn. It stays on a subscription.

Why would you sell this?
Because a payment now is worth more to a small company than a subscription later, and because some people simply will not start another monthly bill. We would rather have you on the product.
What if I outgrow the plan?
You buy add-ons monthly at $2 each, or move to a subscription on a bigger plan. Your lifetime plan stays yours underneath either way, so you can drop back to it at any time.
Can I upgrade from Starter to Developer later?
Write to us and we will price the difference rather than make you buy it twice.
What happens to my mail if I stop using it?
Nothing. It stays, you can read it, and you can pull it down over IMAP whenever you like.
Is this the same deal FounderKit sells?
